Active — Natalie Imbruglia is an Australian singer-songwriter best known for the 1997 megahit "Torn". She has continued to record and tour over the years and released a new album, Algorithm, in 2025.

Natalie Imbruglia was born in Sydney in 1975 and first became known as an actress on the Australian soap opera Neighbours. She left acting for music, and her 1997 debut single "Torn" became a global phenomenon, one of the defining pop records of the late 1990s and a song that made her famous around the world.

The song's parent album, Left of the Middle, was an enormous success, and it set up a career that has lasted far longer than her early burst of fame suggested. Imbruglia went on to release a string of albums over the following decades, with mixed commercial fortunes, while also returning to screen acting and modelling.

In recent years Imbruglia has been open about living with ADHD and about the pressures of public life. She remains active, and in 2025 released a new album called Algorithm with the lead single "Upside Down", alongside a run of live dates.
