The collapse

Over a single weekend, an emergency rescue was brokered in which Credit Suisse's biggest rival, UBS, acquired the bank at a fraction of its former value. Where Credit Suisse is now

Credit Suisse no longer exists as an independent bank. Its business was folded into UBS, ending 166 years of history. Its collapse is remembered as one of the most dramatic banking failures in modern times — proof that even the most established, storied institutions can fall when trust collapses.
